FENLAND dentist Barbara Taylor will prove she was NOT the 'Weakest Link' when her appearance on the game show is aired at dinner time next Friday.

Mrs Taylor, who works at the Upwell Road Dental Practice, won £1,890 on the TV quiz show and donated her prize to the St Wendreda's Church Hall fund.

She never had to go through the show's humiliating 'Walk of Shame' by beating the show's nine other contestants and managed to escape Anne Robinson's insults.

Together with £700 in sponsorship and an additional amount in Gift Aid, Mrs Taylor managed to raise more than £3,000 for the refurbishment of the building.

"It was tough but all really worth while," she said.

"I won't know what the other contestants have said about me until I watch the show - it will be interesting to see how it is edited.

"I can't remember what questions I was asked, but I think I was very lucky on the day."

With just finishing touches to be completed, St Wendreda's Church Hall is used regularly by church groups, dance groups and Neale Wade Community College.

Mrs Taylor will appear on the Weakest Link next Friday (May 16) at 5.15pm.
