A 20-YEAR-OLD man from a Fenland village was killed in a three-car accident at Thorney, near Peterborough, on Friday evening.
Daniel Markillie, of Southeau Bank, Throckenholt, was a driver in a silver Peugeot 206 which was involved in a collision with a blue Skoda Octavia and a gold Peugeot 307 in Bukehorn Road, Thorney, at about 5.45pm.
The driver of the Skoda, a 41-year-old man from Bourne, Lincolnshire, suffered serious but not life threatening injuries. The Peugeot 307 contained two men and one woman, none of whom were injured.
Fire crews from Thorney and Dogsthorpe, Peterborough, cut Daniel free of his car but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Skoda driver was taken to hospital with his injuries.
