MAGISTRATES jailed 21-year-old Nicholas Tyler for two months because he had refused to allow electronic monitoring equipment to be installed in his home, to oversee his curfew.
Tyler, of St Augustine's Road, Wisbech, was given a three month curfew back in December - as a condition of a two month suspended jail sentence.
But twice he failed to allow access to his curfew address, he admitted to Fenland magistrates.
"It is quite plain he is not the brightest individual," said solicitor Sarah Acres.
"He had not appreciated the curfew would be electronically monitored. He did not appreciate the significance of a suspended sentence.
