A MAN was punched in the face and pulled to the ground by his hair by two men who assaulted him in daylight in Wisbech.

The 49-year-old victim was walking along the passageway at the bottom end of Kings Street when he was approached by the pair.

An altercation took place before the victim was punched in the face by one man, then pulled to the ground and kicked by the other.

A passer-by disturbed the attackers who then ran off.

The incident happened on Thursday, September 9 at 2.30pm near Wellington Terrace.

Lesley York, investigating, said: “This was an unprovoked assault which happened in the middle of the day. We are keen to speak to anyone who saw the incident.”
