A MAN was punched in the head as three men searched his Wisbech house claiming to be looking for a letter.
The men barged their way into the 31 year old’s house in Hawthorne Avenue at around 2pm on Friday February 11.
They searched his house saying they were looking for a letter before punching the victim to the head. They also smashed a shower screen before making off in a grey 4x4, possibly a BMW X5. The vehicle was driven by a woman.
The man who assaulted the victim is described as white, 6ft, with short light-brown hair and a tattoo on the right side of his neck. He had a Lithuanian accent and was wearing a light-coloured sports top with a zip down the front.
Det Con Nigel Coppin, investigating, said: “This was a nasty incident which has left the victim very shaken.
“I would appeal to anyone who saw the men or a grey 4x4 in the area at the time of the incident to contact police.”
Anyone with any information should call DC Coppin on 0345 456 456 4 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
