Major police probe under way in Wisbech following allegation of serious sexual assault

A MAJOR police investigation is under way in Wisbech following claims of a serious sexual assault against an 18 year-old woman.
Police were called to the Rose and Crown Hotel in Market Place just before 2.30am on Saturday.
The incident is alleged to have happened outside the hotel and to the rear of the Tidman’s Bar which forms part of the Rose and Crown.
Throughout Saturday police continued to carry out forensics examination in the area.
A police spokesman confirmed today that a 38 year old man from Wisbech had been arrested.

The man has been released on conditional bail to return to March Police Station on March 5.
