CHEF Brent Turner was caught drink driving after his car tyre blew out in the early hours, Fenland magistrates were told.

Turner, who works at the Woodman’s Cottage in Gorefield, admitted driving when over the alcohol limit at Wolf Lane off Leverington Common on September 6.

He was banned from driving for 12 months and fined 200 with 85 costs and a 15 surcharge.

“Let’s hope the landlord of the Woodman’s Cottage will not sack you,” he was told by presiding magistrate Peter Waterfield, who had read a letter of support from Turner’s employer.
