A Fenland football team that has raised £20,000 for charity in three years stepped onto the pitch for their last match on Saturday.
Crowds of spectators came to Gorefield to watch Macmillan FC play one final game between the current team and former players.
Justin Cross, who founded the club, wrote on the club’s Facebook page: “Well that’s it… brilliant journey that I will honestly never forget.
“A great way to finish the club as it was an awesome day/night. Big thanks to everyone who has played, supported, sponsored and donated over the last three-and-a-half.
“I personally have done things I never would’ve done and I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have.”
“Pride in Fenland winners 2016, £20,000 donated to Macmillan Cancer Support and an army of friends,” the post continues.
“We did good guys and girls, thanks for some fantastic memories.”
Macmillan FC has now moved to Luton and is to be run by Robson O’Reardon.
