A female driver had a lucky escape after being trapped in her vehicle following a collision with a telegraph pole on Gorefield Road, Leverington on Saturday.
Firefighters used cutting equipment to cut the boot off the car to gain access to the woman, who was released at the scene.
A police spokesman said: “The driver was trapped in the vehicle by the seatbelt as it was stationary laying on the passenger side.
“Fire crews arrived and assisted in making the vehicle safe and also getting the driver out of the vehicle.
“Fortunately the driver received only minor injuries following this collision, and was able to walk away from the scene.”
