Children are learning to love books for life thanks to a festival that has become a popular feature in the Wisbech calendar.
Pupils people met authors including Michael de Souza, who wrote the TV series Rastamouse, as part of Wisbech Reads Festival.
Other authors include Joshua Khan who wrote anti fantasy book Shadow Magic, local author Ellie Sandall and former zookeeper turned illustrator Alison Limentani.
The festival is over a series of days with different activities in the town.
A spokesman said: “It was wonderful to see so many families on Wis-Beach Day, in the reading tent to make windmills, bookmarks and shark hats with the lovely Rotary ladies and in Wisbech Library where the under-the-sea collage looks marvellous. Many are proud owners of beautiful mood jars and funky stress balls courtesy of Centre 33 and, as ever, the People and Animals therapy dog was a great hit.”
