Lorries pointed in new direction
NUISANCE lorries have been stopped in their tracks after a company agreed to point them in a different direction.
Articulated lorries have been trying to get down New Drove to access the Partner Logistics cold store in Wisbech.
So Councillors David Hodgson and Simon King and one of his constituents went to meet the firm’s manager to find a solution.
Cllr King said: “It was agreed that Partner Logistics would pay for a sign and the county council would put it up.”
Cllr Hodgson added: “Hopefully this will make it easier for lorries to get to the cold store, making life better for the residents and saving money for Partner Logistics.”
Partner Logistics’ Mark Swash said: “We’re really pleased we were able to help as we want to be good neighbours to the people of Wisbech.”
