A MAN has appeared in court charged with the murder of 46 year-old Carol Cannom at her Fenland home.
Malcolm Palmer, 61, of Windsor Gardens, Long Sutton was arrested at the scene and has now been charged with her murder.
Palmer, who is retired, appeared at Grantham Magistrates' Court on Saturday.
He spoke only to confirm his name, address and age.
There was no application for bail and no plea was entered.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at Lincoln Crown Court on Friday for a preliminary hearing.

Mrs Cannom, 46, of Windsor Gardens, Long Sutton, was found dead by police and ambulance workers at her home, just before 8pm last Wednesday.
She had been stabbed 52 times in the chest, abdomen and face.
