POLICE are appealing for information after a JCB was used in an attempt to steal an ATM machine in Long Sutton.
This offence took place between 2.20am and 2.30am yesterday at a BP Garage in Wisbech Road, Long Sutton.
Offenders used a JCB, which had been stolen from a business premises over the road from the garage, to dislodge a free-standing ATM machine from its concrete base. This ATM was a free-standing machine located outside the garage. During the attempt the ATM became wedged under the JCB and the offenders abandoned their attempt.
A police spokesman said: "It is believed they may have left the scene in a yellow vehicle, which was possibly a van or a truck. It may also have turned left out of the garage into Bridge Road, towards Long Sutton."
