A WISBECH man killed in a road accident on the outskirts of King’s Lynn has been identified by police after they received help from the Lithuanian migrant workers.
Norfolk Police last week appealed for help identifying the man, who was killed in the early hours of August 29 in a collision with a car while walking along the A149, moments after discharging himself from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
He was taken to hospital after being stopped in Staithe Road, Wisbech, on August 28 with head injuries.
Police have this afternoon identified the man as 35-year-old Alvydas Salaitis.
In a statement Steve Matthews, senior investigator of the serious collision investigation team at Norfolk Police, said: “We we would like to thank the Lithuanian community for their help in identifying Mr Salaitis.”
