RESIDENTS and Friends of Nene Court, Wisbech, welcomed Julian Kirk as their guest speaker last Wednesday. He gave a talk on the Caister Lifeboat station, and received a donation and sold merchandise totalling £120. The money goes towards the running costs

RESIDENTS and Friends of Nene Court, Wisbech, welcomed Julian Kirk as their guest speaker last Wednesday. He gave a talk on the Caister Lifeboat station, and received a donation and sold merchandise totalling £120. The money goes towards the running costs of the station, which requires £104,000 a year to stay operational. Money above this amount has to be raised for future purchases such as new boats.
