A PARTY was held to celebrate the 50th birthday of a Fenland hair salon.
Staff and customers of Patricia's Hair Stylists in Emneth joined the celebrations on Friday.
One of the party-goers was 88-year-old Phyllis Smithee, from Elm, who has been a customer at the salon since it opened in 1959.
She said: "I used to get a French pleat back then, I can't imagine having that now at my age.
"They are lovely people and I've obviously been happy with the service I've been getting."
Patricia's Hair Stylists was opened by Patricia Seekings who is now 71 and still working there. The salon is now owned by her daughter Sara.
