Uniformed services students at the College of West Anglia (CWA) have presented a cheque to The Soldiers’ Charity.
The charity - formerly the Army Benevolent Fund - offers financial aid to British Army soldiers and their families in times of need.
The college’s uniformed services students at both the Wisbech and King’s Lynn campus fundraised for the charity through a number of events and activities, such as car washes, biathlons and a sponsored climb of the UK’s three peaks.
The Soldiers’ Charity briefer/liaison officer Simon Ferrier met with the uniformed services cohort at CWA’s King’s Lynn campus, where he accepted a cheque for £2,405.95 on behalf of the charity.
He said: “This amount of money can be life-changing for the people we support. The students should be very proud of themselves.”
Uniformed services programme manager Lee Mallott added: “The entire uniformed services department is very proud to have supported The Soldiers’ Charity.”
