Kids Are Alright Campaign wins EDF Energy East of England Media Award

THE Cambs Times/Wisbech Standard's Kids Are Alright Campaign has won the Campaign of the Year award at the EDF Energy East of England Media Awards.
Over the last 12 months the campaign has recognised and rewarded the efforts of Fenland's youngsters in conjunction with a number of partner agencies.
Those agencies include Cambridgeshire Criminal Justice Board, Cambridgeshire Police, Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service, Fenland District Council, Cambridgeshire County Council and Fenland Youth Council.
The award judges praised the campaign for being "bold and original"

It means the Cambs Times/Wisbech Standard retained the title it won last year for the Slow Down, Don't Drown Campaign.
Editor John Elworthy was also highly commended in the Print Journalist of the Year (Weekly) category.
