A fundraiser has been set up by a Wisbech community centre to raise money for the family of a 10-year-old boy who was killed while cycling to school last month.
Kastytis Dambrauskas was killed on Monday, July 16 while cycling to school with his mother when he was hit by a lorry on Weasenham Lane, Wisbech. He died at the scene.
The Rosmini Centre set up a ‘Go Fund Me’ page for Kastytis’ family after they were approached by a number of people who had heard of the tragic accident.
Mark Griffin, a centre staff member, shared the link on social media and have so far raised £575 of their £3,000 target with online donations.
The campaign will run until Saturday, September 1 and everything raised will go to Kastytis’ family to “help and support them at this difficult and tragic time”.
The Rosmini Centre provides a range of services, activities and events for members of the local communities.
They support local people by providing information, advice and guidance to improve or manage health conditions, run a community transport scheme and offer leisure activities.
