A SECOND post mortem examination has revealed that a man who died two weeks after he was involved in a car crash in Fenland died of natural causes.

Last week police launched an investigation after John Henry Coombes died at Peterborough District Hospital.

Mr Coombes, of Pawlett Close, Deeping St James, was driving a Ford Mondeo which was involved in a collision with a flatbed lorry on the A47 near Guyhirn on November 16.

However, a police spokeswoman said: "Following a second post mortem examination conducted on Friday the pathologist has concluded that Mr Coombes died of natural causes.

"Officers are therefore no longer investigating the collision he was involved in two weeks before his death.
