Householder disturbs intruder in Wisbech - police hunt launched

An intruder wearing a baseball cap fled a Wisbech home after being confronted by the owner.

The break in happened at around 8.30pm on Sunday in Elm High Road.

A police spokesman said: “The owner has heard his front door being opened and has investigated the noise.

“After finding a male inside the property he has challenged him and he has fled the scene.

The suspect is described as being a white male, approximately 5ft 11in, in his 30s wearing a baseball cap, a long sleeve top and blue jeans.

Anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area between the times stated or anyone with information should contact DC Chris Parnham from King’s Lynn CID on 101.
