The new store, in Market Place, was opened on Saturday January 30 on the premises of the 99p Store, which was bought out by Poundland last year.

The store is the second in the area, with the other located in Horse Fair Shopping Centre, Wisbech.

Poundland opened 60 new stores for the financial year end ending March 2015, creating approximately 1,600 jobs.
