HUNDREDS of ambitious Fenland school pupils were encouraged to “open a window to the rest of their lives” when they met employers at a careers convention.
Around 440 children filled the Queen Mary Centre in Wisbech for the informative event, which was held by the Wisbech Schools’ Partnership and made possible thanks to a grant from the Roddons Housing Association Community Fund.
Primary school pupils took careers advice from 18 local and national employers and built on the work they had completed in the classroom.
Children from several schools attended the convention - travelling to the centre in four groups throughout the day.
