POLICE are appealing for information after a sneak-in burglary in Bridge Road, Long Sutton, on Monday.
The homeowner left her house at about 11.30am to walk her dog. She returned 25 minutes later to find the house had been burgled.
It is believed a key was located in the porch, allowing the burglar to gain entry. Once inside a tidy search was made and a items including cash and bank cards were taken from the victim's handbag.
A man, seen in the vicinity at the time of the offence in a large silver/white car, appeared to be paying particular interest to the victim's home. He is described as white, aged between 50 and 60, about six feet tall, with grey hair and glasses and wearing grey trousers and white trainers.
Police want to hear from anyone else who saw this man or can provide information about his identity.
