People are being urged to think of others this Christmas by getting involved in the Samaritans Purse shoe box appeal organised by Horsefair Shopping Centre.
Kevin Smith, manager of the Horsefair Shopping Centre, said: “Every year we’re overwhelmed by the generosity of our shoppers, and how many shoeboxes are donated and I’m sure this year will the same. It’s a great way to start the generosity of the festive period early.”
Shoppers are asked to gift wrap a shoebox and fill it with gifts that will be sent to 17 countries around the world.
There are three age groups that people can fill boxes for. Two to four year olds, five to nine or 10 to 14.
