THE famous Goodwood circuit beckons this weekend for a team of seven Wisbech Grammar School students, which has reached the national final of a motorsport endurance race.
The team of seven finished third in the eastern regional heat of the Greenpower competition, in a four-hour race at Bedford Autodrome.
Their aluminium vehicle, called 'Twin Cambs' is powered by electricity and has an eight-speed gearbox. It was designed and built by the students.
It is the first time the school has reached the national final in the seven years it has competed in the event.
A total of 75 teams have reached the final, with the performance of 'Twin Cambs' so far currently putting the school in 27th place.
