BINGO players were surprised with an air cadet ‘guard of honour’ when they turned up at a village hall.

The evening was to raise money for the 272 (Wisbech) squadron and cadets line up to greet supporters as they arrived at Emneth Central Hall.

Some cadets also helped by selling tickets whilst others dabbled with the delights of bingo calling and checking claims.

They also served tea and coffee during the interval as well as homemade cakes and cookies.

The bingo was successful and raised £500 for squadron funds to use for equipment for the Duke of Edinburgh award. The cadets from Wisbech squadron will be taking part in the award scheme this summer.

Wisbech squadron are currently recruiting young people aged 13-17, come along to one of our parade nights on a Monday or a Thursday night at our Sandyland headquarters, email 272Sqn@BedsCambsWgATC.org or ring 01945 587251 on parade evenings.
