Ideas to help people stay safe, independent and well in the community will all be available at the next Golden Age Fair, which returns to Tydd St Giles Community Centre between 11am and 2pm on Monday June 19.

Older people can find out about the services available to them from a host of organisations and charities at the event, which is organised by Fenland District Council.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service will be on hand with its free electric blanket exchange, too.

Future East will also be in attendance to promote its Comic Relief-funded project Silver Circles. The project provides information about benefits, better shopping, energy use and prices, comparison websites and scams in an accessible and informal way.

Other highlights include physical activity consultations with Living Sport and information from Fenland Volunteer Centre, as well as the charities Age UK, Breathe Easy Wisbech, Cam Sight, Diabetes UK Wisbech and the Macular Society.
