Girl aims to raise £250 for charity at Grand East Anglia Run

PUBLISHED: 19:25 14 April 2010 | UPDATED: 09:37 02 June 2010

I am emailing to enquire as to whether you could print something about a charity run I am participating in.

On May 2nd I will be running 10km in the Grand East Anglia Run in King's Lynn. I am by no means a professional runner so this really is a challenge that is requiring a lot of effort!
I am aiming to raise £250 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust following the loss of my friend Zoe Osler to the disease just last November. She was 21 years old, and passed away on her son's second birthday.

I am hoping to raise as much awareness as possible as the money raised is used to fund vital research into gene therapy, which could eventually put an end to the pain and suffering of not only cystic fibrosis sufferers but their families also.

At the time of writing this email I have raised £70 of my £250 target so far, and would like to appeal to readers of the Cambs Times for support.

I have a website where people can donate at www.justgiving.com/running-for-cf

Any help you could offer in promoting my fundraising to the community is greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,
Emma Suttle.
