APPROXIMATELY 160 primary school students competed in a major cross-country event in West Norfolk.
The Walpole St Peter-based Anthony Curton School won the boys and girls team competitions to take the overall title at the Marshland Area Cross Country Championships, at Emneth Primary School.
Seven other schools took part and trophies were presented by Paul Wiegand, from Fenland Running Club.
Results: Team: 1) Anthony Curton 112 points; 2) Emneth 163; 3) Terrington St John 268; 4) West Walton 403; 5) Tilney All Saints 462; 6) Walpole Highway 466; 7) Tilney St Lawrence 500; 8) Marshland St James 596.
