SKATERS from across the country created an electric atmosphere at Wisbech Inline Skating Club's 30th anniversary race meeting.

Races were held at The Castle Sports Complex, Spalding, on Sunday.

Among the home club's successes were James Ashby, who came second in category one, Joe Adam-Hardy, who finished second in category four and Shannon Aldridge-Owens, who came first in category four.

Adam-Hardy also finished second in the boys and girls 10-12 years relay race, and in the men's and ladies' 13+ relay race Ashby and Michael McInerney finished second.

Wisbech Inline Skating Club secretary Marion Doggett said: "It was a great day's racing, with some neck and neck finishes and an electric atmosphere for the spectators to enjoy."

The club is planning to host another race meeting in March.
