SCHOOL leavers bowed out in style with a glamorous prom.

Fine dresses and sharp suits were all the range at Thomas Clarkson Community College as pupils celebrated the end of a tough exam season and five years of secondary school.

Most arrived at the Wisbech school in limousines and open top cars but others celebrated in style by turning up on bikes and in racing vehicles as they said a final goodbye to their old classmates.

Andy Houghton, staff representative on the prom committee, said the students’ upbeat attitude had turned it into a “community event”.

He said: “We had fantastic support from the local community. It is about their responses and involvement as much as anything.”
