THE Wizard of Oz is coming to Wisbech.

A RATz Youth Musical Company production of the famous musical will be performed at the Angles Theatre eight times over nine days, starting tonight (Friday).

The timeless classic features Chandre Roman as Dorothy, a farm girl from Kansas made immortal by Judy Garland in the 1939 film.

Dorothy dreams of a world 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' and ventures forth along the Yellow Brick Road.

On her travels she encounters good and bad witches, and befriends a scarecrow, a tin man and a cowardly lion who accompany Dorothy to the Emerald City where they meet the Wizard of Oz.

The Wizard sets them all a difficult task to achieve before he grants their wishes: a brain for Scarecrow; a heart for Tin Man, courage for the lion and a home in Kansas for Dorothy.

Join this talented young cast on their musical adventures from Kansas, through Munchkinland and on to the Land of Oz.

The show will be performed at 7.30pm on Friday, March 28, Tuesday, April 1, Wednesday, April 2, and Friday, April 4 and 2pm and 7pm on Saturday, March 29 and Saturday, April 5.

Tickets are £10, with concessions £8 and family tickets, for two adults and two children, £32, and are available by calling 01945 474447.
