A PRIMARY school with four diabetic pupils raised money for a charity associated with the condition, by holding a mini-marathon.
Children and teachers from Long Sutton Primary School took part in the sponsored event on Friday, to raise cash for school funds and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Four of the school's pupils - Oriana Hammond, Harry Sutherland, Molly Sutherland and Nathan Mitchell - are diabetic.
The course was set up around the school, with fun challenges at intervals along the way.
Children were allowed to run a maximum of 12 laps of the course, which totalled a staggering nine kilometres.
Jeremy Barron, a Year 5 teacher who helped organise the mini-marathon, said it seemed appropriate to raise money for a diabetes charity with four pupils suffering from the condition.
He added: "When we find out how much was raised, the school council will decide where its half of the money will go.
