A WIDE variety of crafts and gifts were on sale as people looked to grab early Christmas presents at a fair held by Wisbech scouts

Cupcakes, jewellery, handmade cards, aloe vera products, leather craft, wood carvings and Jamie Oliver kitchenware were all available at the event in St Peter’s Church Hall, organised by the 14th Wisbech Scout Group,

The money raised from the event goes to pay rent, insurance and equipment costs which total around 2,000 a year. Sam Rayner, Beaver leader and member of the fundraising team, said: “Unlike some craft fairs we didn’t have doubles of the same craft, so we only had people there doing what they do best. We also had a tombola and a raffle.

“Since 1957, when the group was set up, our scouts have helped many young people to achieve their goals and ambitions while learning key skills to help them in life.
