FOOTBALLERS aiming to become the next Cesc Fabregas took the opportunity to show their skills to Arsenal Football Club last week when the Gunners held a three-day course.

Players aged to four to 13 were put through passing, dribbling and shooting drills before playing in tournaments at Wisbech St Mary Football Club at the event, which was held from Wednesday to Friday.

Mark Angel, Arsenal Soccer Schools' area co-ordinator for Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire said: "We're looking to set up a team to play tournaments in the summer and to give some youngsters a taste of what it's like to play for Arsenal.

"There were some very good players at Wisbech St Mary who we will keep an eye on when hold courses again in the summer.

"We had a great turnout and I'd guess there were about 50 youngsters there each day."

Arsenal Soccer Schools will hold courses at Wisbech St Mary Football Club on July 30-31, August 14 and August 27-28.
