KETTLES were on the boil and cakes baked in readiness as Fenland stopped for a cuppa to raise thousands of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Schools, libraries, businesses, community centres, clubs and individuals all joined in the World's Biggest Coffee Morning last Friday making a substantial contribution to the 8million target.
Some events had an added twist on the cuppas and cakes, The Oasis Community Centre in Wisbech gave visitors the chance to get their brain matter into gear with a quiz of light-hearted questions.
VIP Hair in Walsoken has been supporting the event since it began in 2005 and this year its bigger than ever cake stall also featured 100 jars of home-made jams and chutneys.
