A VISUAL celebration of innovative art, design and furniture was held at the College of West Anglia's Isle Campus in Wisbech.

Students from courses such as Fine Art and Furniture Making had the chance to showcase their achievements at the annual exhibition.

Taking pride of place on the corridor walls, was an abundance of paintings, sketches and original photography.

Several studios were filled with graphic design projects and quality furniture, all of which the students had created.

David Coffils, studying Furniture Making, Restoration and Upholstery, rescued a drab three piece suite and gave it a modern leather look, fit for anyone's living room.

Rebecca Shaw's project was titled 'Transformations', she said: "I wanted to look at how things have changed since I was younger, like sweets and toys. It took me most of the year to complete."

Mercedes Stratton, a graphic design student, created a quirky alternative to Pot Noodles.

"My versions are desserts and each flavour has a different theme, such as horror, romance and comedy," said Mercedes.

The College of West Anglia has developed a reputation for excellence through the success of students like these and many more.
