Wisbech town centre will be lit up with Christmas decorations and festive cheer on Sunday November 29 from 3pm until 6.

Free mince pies, a performance from up-and-coming band Phoenix Calling, dancing, carol singers and a chance to meet the cast of the Angles theatre’s ‘The Snow Queen’ is all to look forward to before the big switch on - hosted by the Mayor and comedy legend Jimmy Cricket - at 4.55pm.

After the switch on, 9 Lives Theatre Company, Lula May and the LJ Academy of Dance will all be showcasing their talents before the winner of the switch-on’s grand prize draw is announced.

Also, in a new feature for this year’s event, youngsters can post their Christmas letters to Santa Claus - and receive a reply from the man himself.
