FRESH strike action was today promised by the Communication Workers Union and will affect workers at Peterborough Delivery Office, Peterborough Distribution and Kings Lynn Sorting Office.
A union spokesman said: "The further industrial action is in response to Royal Mail's continued attacks on member's terms and conditions and the reliability of mail deliveries to the public and business.
"The CWU continue to offer to modernise the Postal Industry by reaching national agreements with Royal Mail.
"The union offered Royal Mail a three month moratorium from all industrial action, in a bid to create the right environment for productive talks, but this offer was rejected by the business as they wanted to push on with their plans."

The union says their action will affect mail to all towns in the PE postcode area "and is in response to Royal Mail's continued attacks on members' terms and conditions.
