Four men are believed to have abandoned their vehicle and fled from Lynn Road, Wisbech after a car crashed into a telegraph line.
Police said: “We were called at around 11.30pm to a car that had hit a lamppost.
“UK Power Networks were called to carry out works on the pole and ensure it was safe.”
An eyewitness posted pictures of the crash on the Facebook page Wisbech Discussion Forum at around 11.41pm on Saturday.
“The road was re-opened at 3.15am on Sunday.
