Police officers and Uk Power Networks were called to Sutton Road at 6.56pm yesterday (May 31) after the car crashed, entered a dry ditch and rolled over.

“As the electricity pole was pulled towards the carriageway UK Power Networks were called out to make the pole safe before the vehicle was removed,” said a police spokesman.

“The driver walked away with no injury. The road was closed for a short time while the vehicle was recovered.

“The road reopened at 11.10pm and UK Power Networks shut the power off before the vehicle was recovered.”
