Former Fenland parish clerk facing �60,000 theft charges

A FORMER Fenland parish clerk has been charged with five counts of theft totalling �60,000.
Beverley Boughen, 41, served as clerk on four parish councils in Marshland St James, Ringstead, Snettisham and Ringstead.
The arrest follows an investigation into alleged financial irregularities in council accounts.
Boughen, of Station Road, Snettisham, is due to appear for a preliminary hearing at King’s Lynn Magistrates’ Court on March 11.
