The former Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams is coming to Wisbech.

To mark the 10th anniversary of the Wisbech Interfaith Forum, Mr Williams, who was archbishop between 2002-12 and is the master of Magdalene College, Cambridge, will speak at the group’s annual general meeting.

The meeting takes place on Monday, May 18 at 7.30pm at the Boathouse Business Centre.

Dr Harriet Crabtree, director of the National Interfaith Network, said: “Wisbech Interfaith Forum is one of a relatively small number of local inter faith groups which operate in parts of the country that are relatively less diverse.

“The work of such groups is of great importance. It can also be quite difficult since it is not always easy to get inter faith initiatives off the ground in less diverse areas or to sustain them. The forum’s programme and outreach has been impressive.”
