FLOWERS filled a Fenland hall at the weekend as Wisbech and District Fuchsia and Pelargonium Society held their annual exhibition.
The society showed off more than 90 colourful exhibits at Emneth Central Hall on Saturday.
As well as an array of hanging baskets and photographs, visitors were delighted by some of the unusual containers - which included a vacuum cleaner stuffed with flowers.
Best in Show was won by John Green’s hanging basket of “Chap’s Delight” fuchsias. Runner-up was Joan Rivett and the Terry and Anthea Rudd Shield, which goes to the winner of the junior competition, was awarded to Teagan Ellis.
Mr Green said: “I didn’t expect to win but the judges favoured mine. We are very pleased with 95 exhibits - the hall was looking absolutely fantastic.”
