COUNCILLORS have recommended approval for 31 homes off Railway Road, Wisbech, but rejection of 14 homes in St Augustine's Road.
Wisbech Town Council's planning committee, normally opposed to one-bedroom flats, gave the green light on Monday to the HG Construction's plans for eight two-bedroom terraced houses, six two-bedroom semi-detached houses, five three-bedroom two-and-a-half-storey houses, four one-bedroom flats and eight two-bedroom flats, all south-east of 88-90 Railway Road.
The project involves demolition of an industrial building.
The committee called for refusal, on the grounds of overcrowding, of a plan for six one-bedroom homes and eight two-bedroom homes in a three-storey development in St Augustine's Road.
