An intoxicated man who was banging on people’s doors late at night got a place to sleep it off - thanks to police.
After arresting him for being drunk and disorderly, officers in the town tweeted: “He got his own 5* room.”
Earlier, officers patrolling Nene Parade in the town came across three street drinkers.
“Alcohol disposed of and three people moved on,” they said.
“Empties in the bin.”
