ARSONISTS caused firefighters to spend nearly three hours extinguishing blazes in Wisbech on Sunday.

One crew from Wisbech was called to a fire in Osbourne Road at 12.50pm but arrived to find three separate blazes. One was a wheelie bin, the other was a one-tonne box containing rubbish and the last was 30 tonnes of waste straw.

Firefighters extinguished the fires and returned to their stations by 3.20pm.
