FIREFIGHTERS issued a reminder about the dangers of arson after rubbish was set alight on an open space in Wisbech.
Crews were called to open ground next to Nixons in North End at 6.10pm yesterday and found a large quantity of rubbish and trees on fire.
The blaze was extinguished using one hose reel and crews were back at base by 7pm.
Today, a fire service spokesman said: “Fire spreads quickly in any direction and can easily put people’s lives at risk.
“If you know any information about an arson incident contact police on 0345 456 4564.”
