AN office to a Wisbech factory has been gutted by a fire this morning (Thursday).

Fire crews were called to a roof truss factory in Osborne Road at 6.15am and found a single storey office block burned out.

A spokeswoman for the fire service said crews used extinguishers when they arrived on the scene because the office was "fairly smoke-logged and fire-fighters were unsure whether the fire was out".

She added: "Fairly substantial damage was caused to the inside the office, but the brick structure was intact."

A fire investigation officer and police scenes of crime officers are still on the scene looking at the cause of the fire.
